A BIT OF MOVEMENT
I started doing yoga a few years ago, and I love it! But let’s get real - I am not motivated or focused enough to practice solo at home. So thank goodness, many of my favorite yoga teachers are offing online classes.
..I have also - initially unexpectedly - really enjoyed doing some cardio at times. Read: Jumping jacks to fun old school music. Its like a dance party in your house, no clean up required, that your body reminds you of for days to come. So check out these fun ladies leading more workout work outs.
A FEAST FOR YOUR EYES
Whether we are “into the arts” or not, I think all of us are missing some of the visual candy we used to enjoy, but perhaps not even really notice. From walking past a gallery window, to catching a glimpse of a mural as you drove around town - seeing the “exhibit” change over time was great. Here are a few folks that are doing their best to bring those changing exhibits, perspectives on the world, colors and shapes to you as you Stay Home and Stay Safe.
[Oh ya, and if you see something you like, or want to help make sure these guys keep going - buy something new for your walls or donate a little $.]
LIQUID RELAXATION
..Enough with all the health and culture talk - let’s get real. Sometimes you just need a drink. Below are the local wine and spirits makers, and beverage proprietors, that we not only “bring home with us” but know personally.
Kate’s Oregon Wines On Broadway (OWOB), is a great wine bar and bottle shop in downtown Portland.
Stone Barn Brandyworks is the expression of Andy’s hard work and creativity in a bottle.
Walter Scott Wine is just delish, made by lovely people, just down the road, in the stunning Eola Amity Hills.
*Full disclosure, I am on the Board of this organization. They are first on the list because I chose to alphabetize, so as not to have to pick favorites among this group of fab friends and organizations.
